MRI of the Orbits/Optic Nerves $1,225

While many MRI exams of the orbits do not require contrast, for those that do, an additional $300 will be charged.

An MRI of the orbits includes the entire extra-cerebral course of the optic nerve, the eye balls and the surrounding tissues. All of these structures will be imaged in multiple planes and with several different types of images. If your exam requires the use of contrast, we may require you to have a blood test before this procedure. The type of contrast agent we use has been validated to be one of the safest types available. The entire MRI exam will take approximately 1 hour.
